Bev Arnold Hand-Painted
Glassware
The Hand Painting Process
We pride ourselves on producing high quality, hand-painted
glass products. Each item is checked for quality at all stages
throughout its development. Every glass item is individually
hand checked and cleaned before painting commences. high quality,
thermo hardening paints are used though-out the design development
to create a hard wearing, hand washable product that we hope
will give you many years of satisfaction. Once the paint design
has been completed each piece is left to dry for 24 hours
prior to firing in an oven. The glass is slowly heated to
160 C and then maintained at this temperature constantly for
40 minutes. The glass is then slowly cooled to avoid damage
to both the paint design and the glass item. Following the
firing process, all designs are checked for blemishes caused
by the heating process prior to being packed.
